Athena I dreamed of an owl with only one wing. I was sitting in a tree with a pillow and my dog. The owl flew to us and covered us with her only wing. I hadn't felt so safe in a long time. But it was only a dream...

“Athena” is a symbolic owl painting inspired by a dream of a one-winged owl that becomes a protector rather than someone needing protection. With its intense green eyes and textured feathers, the owl evokes wisdom, vulnerability, resilience, and safety. The work accompanies the poem Athena, in which an imperfect creature offers shelter with the only wing she has.
